Merry Spendmas!
2003-12-19 : 5:19 p.m.

Happy holidays, Dear Reader. In the spirit of crass materialism that pervades the Yuletide, I have decided to post my Christmas wish list here on my diary. Since I know that you, Dear Readers, are a miserably rabble of ingrates, I will receive none of these gifts. But seeing as how I have nothing better to write about, here goes:

Macromedia Studio MX 2004

Costing a mere $899.00, this software suite includes Dreamweaver MX 2004, Flash MX 2004, Fireworks MX 2004, Freehand MX, and ColdFusion MX 6.1 Developer Edition. And I need it really bad.

Adobe Creative Suite Premium

Another insanely expensive software package, retailing at the low, low price of $1229.00. It includes Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, GoLive CS, Acrobat 6.0 Professional, and Version Cue (have no idea what that is, but Im sure its cool). I need this one, too. Really bad.

Toshiba Satellite Notebook PC

With a 17 widescreen display, a P4 running at 3Ghz, 2GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, and a DVD-RW/CD-RW drive, this shiny, nifty little box is clearly a must have. I am writing this on Toshiba Satellite, and its been a phat little computer. Nowhere near as erotic as the new model, though. Wide screen. Just.wide screen. When you gaze into the relaxing, expansive frame of that big, wide screen.well.$2799.99 doesnt really seem too bad at all.

Pantone Formula Guide & Color Cue Set

The niftiness of the Pantone formula guides is self-explanatory. In color, as in most everything else in the universe, its all about consistent standards. The really sexy part, though, is the Color Cue. Its a hand-held electronic device that uses an optical sensor to detect and analyze the color of any object with a reasonably smooth surface. It then provides you with the RGB, sRGB and CMYK values of that color (in percentages, straight values, and hexadecimals), the nearest Pantone color (with ink formula), and several other values. That is just plain hot. The set costs a piddling $389.00
