So�yesterday, Michele (the former Executive Director, though now apparently former-former E.D.) came to work and called everyone into the conference room. She said �I am still the Executive Director, CEO, and President of this company. I know there has been some confusion about that over the past week, but I�m back now, and everything will go back to as it was before last week. Just turn back the clock. Your directives do not come from the Board, they come from me, and that will not change until I give you further notice.� I was so glad I was taking minutes, as my concentration on the keyboard of the laptop kept me from choking on my own laughter. Does this sound like plain old crazy-talk to anyone else? �Executive Director, CEO, and President�? Of a 25-employee non-profit social service agency�la dee da!

She went on to explain that she (although she said �the agency�) has obtained a temporary restraining order against two members of the Board of Directors (the two who spearheaded the action to fire her, one of whom is the founder of BEAT AIDS), and that they are no longer allowed on the premises. She also said that we are not to communicate with any Board members under any circumstances, which seems exceedingly strange.

One thing I�m quite sure of, though, is that this is far from over. So, we�re all just waiting, and trying to assist our clients as best we can.
