Grant us rest...

Grant-writing season is over! We finished our final proposal at 1 AM, and took it down to City Hall when they opened this morning. Now, let�s see, can I remember how to have a life? The last three months have been a blur of late nights and all-nighters. I guess next week I�ll have to figure out what the hell is going on the department I ostensibly manage�I�ve pretty much been working on grants full time for the last two months.

I guess I should also see if any of my friends are still alive�no one has seen hide nor hair of me since the middle of January.

In other news, I turned 30 years old on the 15 of March. It was fairly uneventful�I was too busy to really do much, but I had a nice dinner with Dino, who gave me a BITCHIN� birthday gift: DVD�s of season 1 of Chappelle�s Show, Season 1 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and the first 2 volumes of Cowboy Bebop. They all totally rock, as does Dino. I also went to dinner with my parents, and we had a nice time. That was about it.

Everyone seems to expect me to be distressed about turning 30, but I have to say I�ve hardly given it a second thought. Many men I know say that their 30�s were/are the best years of their lives. In any case, I�m happy now, and I don�t see why that should change.

Okay, I know this has been a totally boring entry, but I just wanted to let any remaining readers that I am back, and will be posting more regularly.
